About the Executive Director

Shawn Doss is the Founder and Executive Director of Hope Missions.  He has become a "Missions Pastor" for churches who need help coordinating local, national, and international mission projects.  Shawn has had extensive experience coordinating mission trips.  Since 2003, he has coordinated dozens of mission projects throughout the U.S. (Louisiana, Maryland, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida) and Internationally (Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Costa Rica, Panama, Haiti, Suriname, England, Philippines, Brazil, and Cuba).  Shawn has equipped and mobilized over 6,000 short-term missionaries, representing 100+ churches throughout the U.S. and England.  He is passionate about helping churches and individuals fulfill their God-given responsibility to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  CLICK HERE to learn more about how Hope Missions can help you and your church.

Shawn is a licensed and ordained Southern Baptist Minister.  He attended the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Prior to founding Hope Missions, he served on staff at SBC churches in Student Ministry for over 15 years.  Shawn has been married to Patty for 25 years.  They have two children (Jessica and Joshua).  Shawn and Patty currently live in Jasper, AL.  Jessica is a nurse and lives in Cullman, AL.  Josh and his wife, Karen, are currently serving in the U.S. Army in Hawaii.  Picture above left to right - Shawn, Patty, Karen, Josh, and Jessica.
